Grant's Blog Detroit a wake up to recycling Having spent the best part of the last few months in the US establishing our California base and extolling the virtues of our world-renowned technology to the Yanks at the AHR Expo, I've come to appreciate just what a small world it really is. Muller 3C Free Cooling Muller Industries is about to release a free cooling brochure outlining the nominal capacity of free cooling available in kWs from our 3C closed circuit fluid coolers. For those unfamiliar with the concept, free cooling is a term widely used to describe the use of a fluid cooler in low ambient conditions to remove heat from the chilled water loop. In many cases, this supplementary cooling can completely take the place of the refrigeration chiller, using only fan power to create the chilled water. SH09 helps Australian Vinyls cut water Australian Vinyls' engineers have adopted the latest water saving technologies, including the installation of Muller Industries' SH09 units, to help cut their Laverton facility's reliance on fresh water by half. Opened by Victorian Premier John Brumby last month, the company's new water recycling plant will save 325 million litres of water a year, reducing reliance on Melbourne's valuable drinking water supplies. AHR Expo a success Not only did Muller Industries' 3C Cooler win the Refrigeration Category in the 2010 AHR Expo Innovation Awards, announced as part of the 2010 AHR Expo held in Orlando, Florida in January, but we also received terrific feedback from the US industry while we displayed at the Expo. According to Grant Hall who was on hand to accept the award for Muller Industries, the AHR Expo Innovation Award only affirms the company's belief that their patented 3C Condenser technology is an industry leader.
