Muller Industries is about to release a free cooling brochure outlining the nominal capacity of free cooling available in kWs from our 3C closed circuit fluid coolers.
For those unfamiliar with the concept, free cooling is a term widely used to describe the use of a fluid cooler in low ambient conditions to remove heat from the chilled water loop. In many cases, this supplementary cooling can completely take the place of the refrigeration chiller, using only fan power to create the chilled water.
The power saving on a 24 hour site such as a data center, hotel, hospital and even industrial cooling can be immense.
Another popular application is to use free cooling to pull down the mass of a building or a thermal storage or fire tank, using this water for the primary chilled water at the start of the next day.
"This is an exciting application that can really make some inroads into energy conservation and increase the payback story of the Muller 3C fluid cooler," said Pete Schey, General Manager of Muller Industries.
